Huron County is reviewing its
official plan to update for changes in the community and
to recognize and work-in changes in Provincial Policy. As
the county approaches the end of its review BSRA has
commented on the current draft:
After the county has finalized its plan it
will be reviewed by the province.

Local Planning
Changes to the Detailed Zoning By-law are scheduled.
- Consolidation of
separate by-laws for each ward
- Changes to mapping using the county's GIS system.
- First public reviews may be in the Summer
2010 (schedule)
The municipality will update its official plan after the
county's official plan is approved by the province.
