Road Grants: Feb. 2, 2004 BSRA presented its road recommendations to
council. In its
letter
and attachments BSRA recommended that: insurance, grass cutting
and brush clearance become eligible expenses, a minimum of $1,000 in
receipted expenses be paid regardless of road length. The per
kilometer allowance was increased from $1,900 to $2,000 for years
2004 to 2006 and to $2,640 for 2007 through 2009 and $3040.00 for
2010. Also added was an administrative grant of $550. Council will review the rates again in
2010. Council continues the notion that insurance is not
eligible. In 2008, 38 subdivisions received
grants for expenses incurred. November is the cut-off for submission for grants
- new forms are being developed in 2009 - look for them on
Bluewater's web site. Official road lengths are available from the Municipality. Refer to our
